Stephen Mallinder

Stephen Mallinder is a musician, writer and academic currently based at the University of Bright- on. Mallinder was frontman of the ground-breaking Sheffield electronic act Cabaret Voltaire from 1973 until 1994, who redefined the frontiers

of electronic music. Upon leaving the band Mallinder emigrated to Australia for 10 years where he had successful career as a DJ, radio producer and record label-owner. He returned to the UK completing a PhD in music and popular culture. He continues to make music and is currently a member of the electronic band Wrangler.
