London duo Walls consist of musician/producers Sam Willis and Alessio Natalizia. Their two albums for German label Kompakt have received critical praise for combining abstract electronica with treated guitars and a very human warmth. Their debut was Mojo Magazine’s electronic album of 2010. Walls’ new album, Sound Houses, is a special project, a dystopian sonic landscape built utilising sounds from the Daphne Oram Archive, bringing the work of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop founder into a 21st Century context, and all mastered by Delia Derbyshire expert and cult musician Sonic Boom (Spacemen 3).
